Both Bas and Erwin informed us that they are no longer able to combine the band with their other band, job, and education. We are grateful for their dedication and this great adventure that we have experienced with them. Of course we have found excellent replacements for Bas and Erwin and are proud to present to you our new guitarist David and drummer Maik. Both bring a lot of talent and we look forward to continue this adventure with them.”
The band is set to play at Southern Discomfort fest in Kristiansand, Norway on September 13th. This will be the last show for Bas and Erwin. AltarEgo was founded by guitarist Marcel Verdurmen in 2016, initially as Altar, the band he was part of from 1995 to 2001 and later from 2002 to 2007. The band changed their name to AltarEgo in 2018. The band released a EP earlier this year, entitled ‘The Exorcism Of Jesus Christ’, to massive critical acclaim. More news is coming soon.
In mid-2016, Marcelo Liam (guitar) and Joao Limeira (drums) met at the Dual Noise studio in the West Zone of Sao Paulo and decided to start a metal and hardcore band.
Marcelo, with roots in a musical family, and Joao, who came from the hardcore beat of the bands Deforme and Paura, began the activities thinking of doing something authentic and with well defined characteristics: overwhelming technical riffs mixed with groove, speed and weight – lots of weight.
Once the sound was defined, they began to create the songs. After completing two of them, the vocalist Thiago Queiroz (formerly Crossfear) with his striking characteristics enter: energetic vocals, with a drive ranging from guttural to high screams.
To complete the group, Thiago called his former bandmate Rafael Claudino (bass), which added new influences, with grooves coming from soul to extreme metal.
Although they have musical influences in common, the differences in the way of playing and composing of each member add innovation and originality to the band, without losing the focus on metal and oldschool hardcore.
The result of this mixture can be listened in the debut album “Dogma,” which highlights in the lyrics how social conventions hit us and interfere in our lives, from religious dogmas to political and social conservatism, showing the ruin to which our society was led.
Inherence’s plans now are to tour around Brazil showing “Dogma” and set out for an international career.
Line up: Marcelo Liam (Guitar) João Limeira (Drums) Thiago Queiroz (Vocals) Rafael Claudino (Bass)

Traditional heavy metal band LIVING METAL is one of the most refreshing appearances in metal scene today, they bring true heavy metal from its early roots to the present days.
Rafael Romanelli (guitarist and founder) started the band as a project, but the idea and the final result were so exceptional that he felt the urge to start a new band, but that wouldn’t be just any other band.
Bearing influences from Judas Priest, Manowar, Saxon, Accept, Iron Maiden, etc… LIVING METAL stood out since the beginning, impressing and inspiring their producer (Rafael Lopes – ex-Torture Squad) to create the real old school sound. He contributed to their debut EP that was already born a classic.
At this moment the band is preparing new songs for their first full length and recordings are due to begin on March 2019. A world tour is already being booked and the first shows will happen next trimester of 2019.
